13th July, 2022

"This is to confirm that Aussan Laboratories CropBioLife (CBL) was one of only 23 shortlisted candidates out of a total of 294 applications from 71 countries worldwide at the 2021 UNIDO Global Call for Innovative Solutions in Cleantech and Sustainable Land Management.

The UNIDO Global Call 2021 was organized by the UNIDO Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO) Germany and the German think tank Future Cleantech Architects (FCA) in collaboration with other UN organizations, including the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). Its objective was to identify readily deployable and scalable solutions from the private sector to address the adverse effects of climate change and ultimately contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic development.

Aussan Laboratories was one of the shortlisted candidates in the category “Sustainable Land Management”. This category sought to identify solutions for productive lands, including new technologies and innovative approaches to production with a demonstrable positive contribution to soil health, land rehabilitation and combating desertification.

With its biological compound for plant and soil health, CBL, Aussan Laboratories contributes to plant and soil health and allows for accelerated carbon sequestration, as well as restorative farming. Based on the innovative character of the solution, its potential contribution to international climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts, environmental sustainability, as well as its applicability, scalability and possibility of expansion to different geographical and socioeconomic contexts, the solution was shortlisted as a finalists for this category.

The technology of Aussan Laboratories was featured during the Award Ceremony on 26 October 2021.

UNIDO ITPO Germany is pleased to recognize the participation of Aussan Laboratories in the UNIDO Global Call 2021 and wishes Aussan Laboratories continued success with its endeavours in support of sustainable land management."

We are excited to be part of the UNIDO family and look forward to our product being utilised to make a brighter future for our planet.
